Little Bobby hangs out at the local convenience store. The owner notices that the older boys like to tease him. They say he’s not too bright. As evidence, often they’ll offer Bobby his choice between a nickel and a dime. Bobby always takes the nickel because he says, “It’s ‘bigger,” and all the boys get a big laugh.

One afternoon, just after Bobby chose his nickel, the store owner pulled him off to one side and said, “Bobby, those boys are making fun of you. They think you don’t know the dime is worth more than the nickel. Why are you grabbing the nickel?”

Bobby grinned and said, “Well, if I took the dime, reckon they’d quit doing it!”
